For those of us who have or work with a child with diagnosed or undiagnosed dyslexia, this is a great book to use with them. However, it can be used with any child, to understand others in their classroom, family or community and to also find their own strengths.
I would stress it's a good reminder for us adults too, about how we can create enabling and inspirational environments for our children to grow, thrive and shine!
I just read this book..I would like to pass on how beautiful & touching it is...I can't wait to read it to my neices!
I also think this book will resonate with everyone who reads it in some way...
I wish I had read this book when I was young, as it gives children and adults a pathway into the inner worlds of other children & adults who have to work harder to feel like they belong & who just want to be accepted for being who & how they are...
Eye opening & beautiful story...
For those adults, parents, or educators who take the time to follow the guidance, and read this in discussion with children, you will not be disappointed. I found this lovely book eye catching and enlightening. It will inform how I work when I encounter those with similar struggles. There are several layers to the book, and opportunities for learning. Definitely one to return to time and again, which represents very good value for money in my opinion.
